Gray Merriam, Ph.D., D.Sc., Professor Emeritus in Landscape Ecology and Environmental Science, has published over fifty scientific papers and chapters in international journals and volumes.
He is a past-President of the International Association of Landscape Ecologists (IALE). He holds awards for Distinguished Scholarship from IALE and for Distinguished Landscape Ecologist from the U.S. chapter of the Association.
Gray lives on the Salmon River in eastern Ontario with his wife, Aileen, painter and Lake Steward. Gray’s retirement is devoted to presenting science-based ecological information in easily accessible forms for all Canadians.
